Full Description:

Pamor (blade pattern) pedaringan kebak is a powerful pamor aiding in spiritual and material wealth. Safety, family and security.

An 15th century keris from Tegal or Cirebon, Indonesia. The dapur (blade shape) is of a type classified as parung sari with a pamor (blade pattern) of pedaringan Kebak (barn full of rice). The wooden scabbard has a wrangka (boat shaped throat piece) in the style known as prahu kandas in kemuning wood. The main body of the scabbard known as gandar is painted timana wood with 3 rattan bands. The beautiful and natural looking hilt is of kayo hitam wood of ganesha kepongpongan form mounted with a deer horn selut (lower pommel) with a mandak (ring between the blade and hilt) in brass.

Often the original intention that the keris has magical and spiritual qualities is ignored, and the keris just considered an object or a weapon. In honour of the traditions of the keris and the empu (talented smiths) who made them, I would like to note what each pamor represents. Here the pamor (blade pattern) pedaringan kebak is a powerful pamor aiding in spiritual and material wealth. Safety, family and security.
